About the Author

Bonita Bandaries

Bonita Bandaries is an educator, writer and speaker encouraging family caregivers in their role. She has authored several books including A Promise Kept Inspirational Guide for Family Caregivers—a study guide to be used individually or in support groups. Bonita enjoys hosting events to celebrate and meet other caregivers in her local community in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Bonita’s career as an educator included roles of counselor, teacher, writing consultant and coordinator in age groups ranging from elementary school  to community college and adult education. As a volunteer in youth and community organizations, she promoted family values, Christian faith and citizenship. Experiences and interest  in community affairs challenge her to pursue various writing avenues to enhance the quality of life for others, especially that of families caring for ill or disabled loved ones.
